This Fancy Caribbean Town Is The Most Expensive Vacation Destination In 2023

The staff of FloridaPanhandle.com, the travel company that promotes the region of the same name, has studied data from more than 100 well-known vacation spots and compiled a list of the most expensive places on earth so that anyone who wants to visit one of them knows what they are getting into.

The website considered a number of parameters to determine the results. They gathered information on typical prices for lodging as well as the top three most popular attractions, food and flights, and the average cost of daily transportation.

Gustavia, Saint Barthélemy, emerged as the clear victor in the most expensive category, with an astounding average daily cost of $1,852 per person, excluding flight expenses. The findings also revealed that a roundtrip flight from a popular airport to this destination averages $2,772.

The average cost of a meal per day is $58, while the average cost of lodging per day is quite expensive at $1,700 per person. If you decide to take a trip, you’ll be happy to hear that the best attractions are all free, as they all have to do with nature.

Europe houses the second most expensive destination in the world, and that is none other than Gstaad, Switzerland. This coveted winter destination offers breathtaking scenery, but also comes with a hefty price tag. Hotels charge an average of $1,316 to $1,841 per night, while daily food costs average about $177. In addition, flights from major U.S. airports can add an average of $1,281 to your budget. A trip to Gstaad requires careful financial planning so you can fully enjoy the splendor of this place.

Once you figure out where the bronze medal is going, you will not be too surprised by the results. It goes to a U.S. city. Prices in Aspen, Colorado, known as one of the most opulent and expensive ski communities in the world, are said to be quite high. When you add general attractions and transportation costs to the average $1,385 nightly rate for a hotel room, your expenses could skyrocket considerably. Flights are not cheap either – you should budget an average of $770 for a round-trip ticket from some major airports.
