These Are The 10 Best And Worst Airports For Labor Day Weekend Travel Delays

While flight delay and cancelation rates are well above 2019 averages, travel experts are predicting that there will be further delays over the holiday weekend.  

More than 12.7 million passengers are expected to depart from US airports with an average of 2.6 million passengers departing each day throughout Labor Day Weekend.

While a majority of travelers (roughly 10.8 million) are heading to domestic destinations, about 1.8 million travelers are taking advantage of relaxed covid-19 travel requirements to head out of the country.

Compared to August of 2019, 23% of flights in August have been delayed from departing US airports while cancellation rates have more than doubled.
