10. Richmond, VA

Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, ranks ninth on the list of most hospitable cities in the United States. The city’s temperate climate, expanding economy, Southern friendliness and diversity attract many new residents, and its 180 miles of greenways have earned this community the nickname “City of Oaks”

8. Ogden, UT

Ogden, the oldest city in the state, is known for having half of all residents report supporting a local group through volunteer work. It is also known for its opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

7. Salt Lake City, UT

4947

Ranked sixth overall for volunteerism, voting participation, and safe neighborhoods. The city is also close to numerous outdoor adventures and natural attractions, drawing many nature lovers.

6. Provo, UT

Provo, which is regarded as one of the best places to start a business and attracting many new residents from across the country, ranked sixth this year thanks to the high percentage of its residents who volunteer. The cost of living in this pleasant Utah city is also rather reasonable.

5. Rochester, NY

A terrific area to live and visit is Rochester, New York, which ranks highly for charitable giving and volunteerism. The city is located along the picturesque Lake Ontario and is recognized for its welcoming citizens.

4. Sarasota, FL

The fourth most neighborly city on this list is a brand new entry in the top 10. Sunny Sarasota, which saw a 3.4 percent increase in population between 2021 and 2022, earned the right to take the fourth spot by attracting the most new residents.

2. Minneapolis, MN

This city lives up to the Midwest’s reputation as one of the friendliest regions in the country. 1. Madison, WI
