Spirit Airlines, the leading ultra-low-cost airline in the U.S., will soon add three new Las Vegas routes.
The upcoming routes will include New Mexico’s Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), Idaho’s Boise Airport (BOI), and Nevada’s Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). The flights, which will start in August, are already available to book.
On certain dates, one-way tickets will cost as little as $65.
After Southwest, Spirit is the second-biggest Vegas carrier, and it plans to get even bigger. It will soon merge with Frontier to become one of the nation’s top five largest airlines.
Spirit’s Vice President of Network Planning, John Kirby, expressed excitement about offering more high-value choices to travelers. The airline’s data suggests that there will be high demand for the routes.
Once the new services are in action, the airline’s Vegas offerings will include 41 nonstop routes.
The Chief Marketing Officer of Harry Reid International Airport, Chris Jones, conveyed enthusiasm about welcoming visitors from Albuquerque, Boise, and Reno.
Even before announcing the August routes, Spirit had shared information about two additional nonstop services that will start in April. They’ll allow passengers from Memphis (MEM) and Salt Lake City (SLC) to visit Vegas at affordable rates.
