Puerto Vallarta Areas Brace For Lidia Hurricane, Airlines Canceling Flights

According to the National Meteorological Service, ‘Lidia’ will make landfall in the port of San Blas, Nayarit State, at 06:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11. At that time, according to forecasts, it will again be a tropical storm.

Nevertheless, the authorities recommend informing the population and checking the announcements of the Civil Protection.

Since “Lidia” will be near the coasts of the Mexican Pacific Ocean, heavy rains are expected, especially in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco and Michoacán, as well as strong winds and high waves in areas of Baja California Sur. Other states that will also suffer the effects of the hurricane include Sinaloa and Durango, where heavy rains will occur. Very heavy rains are also predicted in Baja California Sur.
