Grenada To Drop ALL Entry Restrictions for International Travelers On April 4

The three-island nation of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique will lift all Covid-related entry restrictions for both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers beginning April 4.

Visitors to Grenada will no longer be required to submit a Covid-19 test, provide proof of vaccination, or undergo quarantine.

The Health Declaration form and the nationwide mask mandate will also be scrapped on the same date.

“Grenada is at a stage where we can consider the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, even though we are aware that the pandemic is not yet over,” said Shawn Charles, chief medical officer for Grenada’s health ministry.

“We’re delighted to be able to offer all travelers a seamless and easy travel experience and we’re looking forward to welcoming them to our beautiful islands,” he added.

Authorities continue to urge citizens to follow health protocols to prevent new infections and deaths.

With 33% of the population fully vaccinated, the country’s test positivity rate has remained below five percent in recent weeks.

The removal of restrictions comes ahead of Grenada’s famous Spicemas Carnival, which will take place on August 8 and 9.

During these two days, International visitors and residents alike celebrate Grenada’s rich African, British, Caribbean, and French roots.

Keep in mind that those arriving in Grenada before midnight on Apr. 4, will still be subject to the current requirements and rules.

Only fully vaccinated visitors will be allowed into Grenada. All travelers 5 years of age and older must present either a negative PCR test conducted within 3 days prior to travel or a negative antigen test taken within 1 day of travel.

Random passengers will still be required to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at the airport as part of the health screening process on a case-by-case basis, which is free of charge for those who are fully vaccinated.
