An Emirates flight touched down at Denpasar International Airport (DPS) in Bali on May 1 at 10:20 p.m., and was met by a magnificent water cannon salute to celebrate the airline’s homecoming.
The operational cabin crew and passengers of the flight were met at the airport with a traditional joged bumbung dance performance, highlighting Bali’s distinct culture and rich legacy, followed by a cake cutting ceremony attended by DPS airport representatives.

The Emirates flight EK398 is scheduled to leave Dubai at 09:10 a.m. and arrive in Bali at 21:29 a.m. the return flight EK399 leaves Bali at 00:05 a.m. and arrives in Dubai at 05:00 a.m. The airline now offers five-weekly trips to the island, but on July 1, 2022, it will increase its frequency to a daily service.
Emirates is flying to the island again for the first time since the company was forced to ground its aircraft in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The reintroduction of Emirates flights offers wealthy travelers from Gulf countries direct access to Bali ahead of the G20 summit in November.
Meanwhile, Emirates continues to invest in its customers’ comfort and safety in the air and on the ground.
The airline has taken a variety of steps to ensure that its customers are safe at all times during their travel. Customers flying out of Dubai can use contactless biometric routing at Dubai International to go through the airport quickly and with less or no human interaction.
