Digital Nomad Village Brazil Opening Its Doors, Here Is Why You Should Go

Here are some reasons why you should not miss Brazil which is now the first country in Latin America to create a village for digital nomads.

If you have the opportunity to work from anywhere on the planet, consider doing so from beautiful Brazil.

How can you get a Brazilian digital nomad visa?

Temporary Visa VITEM XIV is the name of the country’s digital nomad visa, and applicants can submit their applications at any Brazilian embassy.

The visa typically costs €97 ($100 USD), but prices can vary. It is valid for one year, but can be extended for another year. You may travel abroad during this period and then return.

A minimum monthly salary of €1,455 ($1,500 USD) or a bank balance of €17,460 ($18,000 USD) are two of the main requirements, as is proof of a job or a connection to a company based outside Brazil.

How expensive is Brazil?

Brazil is neither the cheapest nation in the world nor in South America. But compared to European countries, the cost of living in Brazil is much cheaper.

According to the website Expatistan, food costs in France are 101% higher than in Brazil, while housing costs are 131% higher and transportation costs are 41% higher. Overall, the cost of living in France is 67% higher than in Brazil.

In Germany, the cost of living is 74% more expensive. In Italy, the price is 46% higher. In the UK, it costs 99% more.

When is the best time to move to Brazil?

Although this is also the season when most tourists come, the ideal time to travel to Brazil is between November and March, which is the summer of the country.

The typical climate is sunny and pleasant, so you can go to the beach after work. Also, in February you can visit the famous Carnival of Rio de Janeiro.

Brazilian winter temperatures, which average 18°C/64.4°F, are still relatively mild by European standards.

Where are the best places for digital nomads in Brazil?

Brazil is a huge country. Your personal preferences and hobbies can influence where you travel, because each region is unique. But every digital nomad values these four factors: cost of living, access to fast Wi-Fi, community and nightlife.

The finest cities to relocate to for all of these things are Pipa, Florianopolis, Jericoacora, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, So Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
