The latest edition of the Cruise Ships in Service Report by Cruise Industry News shows that 45 additional cruise ships are entering service in March.
As the cruise season gains more momentum as travelers are eager to get back on the open seas, 14 ships are welcoming guests back for the first time since halting trips due to the pandemic. While the majority of the rest of the vessels are returning to the seas after brief operational pauses.
Active cruise ships around the globe will total at 264 as four newbuilds are also set to enter service during the month of March. In total, the vessels are adding nearly 75,000 berths in the market, ranging from Royal Caribbean’s new Wonder of the Seas ship (the world’s largest cruise ship) to small and boutique vessels.

March 2: Norwegian Sky from Norwegian Cruise Line sailing in the Bahamas, Mexico and Key WestMarch 4: Wonder of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International sailing in the Bahamas, Western and Eastern CaribbeanMarch 5: Carnival Ecstasy from Carnival Cruise Line with short cruises to Mexico March 5: Costa Toscana from Costa Cruises sailing in the Western MediterraneanMarch 7: Vision of the Seas Cruise Line from Royal Caribbean International sailing ten- and 11-night cruises to Southern and Eastern Caribbean
