Carnival Cruise Line Cancels 4 Upcoming Sailings

Carnival Cruise Line canceled four upcoming sailings of the Carnival Panorama as it heads to dry dock this weekend over ongoing propulsion issues.

The canceled sailings are November 11, the Thanksgiving sailing of November 18, 26, and December 2.

The technical problems, which led to the cancellation of two out of three ports during its current voyage, will be addressed in a dry dock following the ship’s return to Long Beach this weekend.

Affected passengers will receive a full refund, expense reimbursement, and a 50% to 100% future cruise credit, depending on their booking date.

Carnival Panorama, which has a history of propulsion problems similar to other ships in the Vista class, is expected to resume service on December 9 after repairs.

Viking Cruises Files Lawsuit Against Insurance Group

Despite Viking’s immediate compensation to guests, they allege that Arch has not fulfilled its financial obligations of reimbursement for over three years, resulting in Viking covering more than $3 million in refunds.

The case will go to court on April 4 if no agreement is reached.
