The Carnival Cruise Line ship is now on her way back to her homeport of Sydney, Australia, following a spirited send-off from Seattle. She will be the first Carnival ship to resume guest operations in Australian waters in nearly 1,000 days.
On Tuesday, a Sail Away party on the vessel’s top deck kicked off a 24-night transpacific Carnival Journeys cruise, which will visit six ports across Fiji and Hawaii: Honolulu, Kona, Hilo, Kahului, Suva, and Port Denarau. The ship is scheduled to arrive in Sydney on September 30th.

The ship will resume a schedule of year-round voyages from Sydney on a variety of itineraries, including quick three-night cruises to nowhere, longer Great Barrier Reef voyages, South Pacific islands sailings, and more.
In November, Carnival Cruise Line will add another vessel to its Australia offerings, as Carnival Luminosa joins the Carnival fleet and begins sailings out of Brisbane. The vessel was formerly Costa Luminosa with Carnival’s sister brand Costa Cruises.
